| Some Basic Widget Types |
|
|
This chapter introduces a few basic widget types, the label, the button, and the entry, and some features they support. Four sections describe features that are useful with these types of widgets. In fact, these features are useful for other types of widgets as well but they are not as commonly useful as the features listed above in Common Options. These features permit images to identify labels and buttons rather than text. They permit images or text to have margins around them. They permit users to select text much like you are used to doing with your word processor. Finally, they enable buttons and entries to have different on/off states.
